The tradition of celebrating Easter in Russia is one of the oldest ones. It is one of the main religious holidays for christians in Russia. It is connected with many traditions: people go to a church, make colour eggs. This holiday is usually celebrated in spring. It includes beautiful ceremonies held in churches and cathedrals. It has been followed by most people in Russia for centuries.

Easter is an national traditional festival in Russia. We celebrate the Ressurection of Jesus Christ, our Lord. On Easter people present painted eggs and congratulate each other. Easter is celebrated at night in the church and later at home. Easter cakes, paskha and eggs makes up the main traditional Easter food. I think this celebration is one of the best celebrations in Russia.
