Money is one of the greatest human inventions. The origin of money is associated with 7 - 8 thousand BC, when primitive tribes had surpluses of some products that could be exchanged for other desired products. Historically, as a means of facilitating the exchange, cattle, cigars, shells, stones, pieces of metal were used with varying success. But in order to serve as money, the subject must receive a general acceptance of both buyers and sellers as a means of exchange. Money is determined by the society; all that society recognizes as treatment is money. Indeed, money is a commodity acting as a universal equivalent, reflecting the value of all other goods.
